Sugarbush Run is located in the center of the “Land of Maple”, as maple syrup is produced only in the northeastern region of North America. Our maple trees collectively known as a sugarbush are connected with a network of plastic tubing (6 miles of it !). When winter grudgingly gives way to spring, and the temperature climbs to the 40’s in the day and eases back to below freezing at night, it’s time to tap the maple trees. The sap flows from each tap to the collecting tanks via the tubing. It is then transferred to the wood-fired evaporator which boils away 40 gallons of water to produce one gallon of maple syrup. Our syrup and products are sold to individuals, at farm markets, festivals, grocery stores, wineries, bakeries, and as wedding favors. Try some of our products and experience the taste of good old fashioned maple syrup.A sap run is the sweet goodbye of winter. It is the fruit of the equal marriage of the sun and the frosts.
